Is the wheel spinner fair?

Yes. When you press "Spin the wheel", the page first draws the winner with crypto.getRandomValues, your browser's secure random number generator, using a method that avoids bias, so every entry has the same chance. The wheel is then animated to stop on that entry. Segment size, position on the wheel and spin time do not change the odds.

How do I add and edit the entries?

Type or paste them into the "Entries (one per line)" box, one name or choice per line. Blank lines are ignored and the wheel redraws as you type. It uses up to 200 entries, and each entry is cut to 60 characters. "Shuffle" mixes the order, "Reset example" brings back Yes, No, Maybe and Ask again, and "Clear all" empties the box.

Can I remove the winner so nobody is picked twice?

Yes. Tick "Remove winner after each spin" and the winning line is deleted from the entries when the wheel stops. The winner box has a "Put back" button if you change your mind. Leave the option off to keep every entry on the wheel for the next spin.

Can I change the spin time or turn off the sound?

Use the "Spin time" slider to choose between 2 and 15 seconds, the default is 6. Untick "Tick sound" to silence the clicks and the winner chime, and untick "Confetti" to skip the celebration. The sound is quiet and made in your browser, with no audio files.

Are my entries saved or sent anywhere?

Your entries and options are saved in this browser's local storage so they are still there next time. They are not put in the page address, so sharing the link never shares your list, and nothing is uploaded. Clearing your browser data, or using "Clear all", removes them.

Yes. Every tool is free to use, with no account and no credit card. The work runs on your device rather than on our servers, which is what keeps it free to run.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. It runs in current mobile browsers on iOS and Android, with nothing to install.

How It Works

The page draws a wheel on a canvas from your list, picks the winner with your browser's secure random generator, and animates the wheel to stop on it.

1
Enter your choices
Type one name or choice per line in the "Entries (one per line)" box. The wheel redraws as you type.
2
Set the options
Choose the "Spin time", and tick "Remove winner after each spin", "Tick sound" or "Confetti" as you like.
3
Spin
Press "Spin the wheel" or click the wheel. The winner is drawn first, then the wheel slows down and stops on it.
4
Read the winner
The winner appears in a box. Press "Spin again" to repeat, or "Put back" to return a removed entry.

Your list is kept in this browser only. It is never put in the page address and never uploaded.
