How do I make a resume and save it as a PDF?

Fill in "Contact" and the sections under "Sections" using "Add entry" for each job, school or project. Pick a template, font, accent colour and paper size under "Design", and watch the pages update in "Preview". When it looks right, press "Download PDF". On a phone, use the "Edit" and "Preview" buttons at the top to switch between the form and the pages.

Are the templates ATS-friendly?

They are built to be. "Classic", "Modern" and "Compact" are all single-column, use plain headings such as Experience and Education, and contain no images, tables, text boxes or icons. The downloaded PDF holds real text, not a picture of text, so it can be selected, searched and read by recruiting software. The templates differ in spacing, heading style and where the contact details sit.

Which fonts and sizes can I use, and why were some characters replaced?

"Sans", "Serif" and "Mono" use the standard PDF fonts Helvetica, Times and Courier, in Small, Medium or Large text, on A4 or US Letter paper. These fonts cover Western European languages. If your text has other characters, such as Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic or Chinese, a note appears and "Download PDF" swaps them for plain letters or a question mark. "Print or save as PDF" keeps every character because it uses the fonts on your device.

Where is my resume saved, and can I keep several versions?

Your resumes are saved automatically in this browser's local storage and are there next time on the same device and browser. Press "New resume" for a blank one or "Duplicate" to make a copy to tailor for a job; you can keep up to 20. They are not uploaded and not shared between devices. Use "Download JSON" for a backup and "Import JSON" to add one back as a new resume. Clearing site data removes them.

Is my information uploaded anywhere?

No. The preview, the PDF and the print page are all made in your browser tab, and your details are never sent to a server or put in the page address. The PDF library runs on your device, and "Print or save as PDF" uses your browser's own print dialog.
