Free Flashlight
Turn your phone into a flashlight: the camera torch where your browser allows it, or a full-screen colour light, with an optional SOS signal.
Switch on the torch next to your phone's rear camera where the browser allows it, or light up the whole screen. Nothing is recorded.
Camera torch
Switches on the flash LED beside the rear camera. This needs camera permission, even though no picture is taken or kept.
iPhone and iPad: Safari does not let web pages use the torch, so use the screen light there.
Screen light
Fills the whole screen with white or a colour. Choose the colour and brightness inside.
A web page cannot change your phone's own brightness. Turn it up yourself for the strongest light; the "Brightness" slider here only dims the light.
SOS and strobe
Photosensitivity warning
Flashing light can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy and can cause headaches or discomfort. Do not use these modes if you or anyone nearby may be affected. The strobe never goes faster than 5 flashes per second. Never shine a flashing light into someone's eyes or use it while driving.
Nothing flashes until you tick the box and press the start button.
🔦 If you use the camera torch, the camera only drives the light: no picture is taken, recorded or sent anywhere. It is switched off when you press "Turn off torch", hide the tab or leave the page.
How It Works
The page asks the rear camera for its torch control through the browser, and when that is not available it fills the screen with light instead.
- 1Try the torchPress "Turn on torch" and allow the camera. If your browser lets web pages use the torch (Chrome on Android), the flash LED lights.
- 2Or use the screenPress "Open screen light" for a full-screen light. Pick white or a colour and slide "Brightness" to dim it. Turn your phone's own brightness up for the strongest light.
- 3Signal with SOSRead the warning, tick the box and press "Start SOS" or "Start strobe". It flashes the screen or torch until you press "Stop flashing".
- 4Switch it offPress "Turn off torch" or "Close". The camera stops when you leave the page too.
The camera only drives the torch. No picture is taken, recorded or uploaded, and it stops when you turn the torch off or leave the page.
