Free Touch Screen Test
Paint with your fingers to find dead zones on your touch screen, count how many touches it registers at once, and see pressure and contact size.
Draw on the box with one or more fingers. Each square of the grid fills in when you touch it, so any square that stays empty after you have covered the whole screen may be a dead zone.

0 of 0 squares touched. Squares you have not reached yet are not necessarily dead.
About the results
- If a square stays empty even when you swipe straight across it several times, that spot may not be registering touches. Try again without a screen protector or case, with clean dry hands and a clean screen.
- "Most at once" is the highest number of fingers down at the same time. It depends on the screen, the browser and the system. Some systems use 3 to 5 finger swipes for their own gestures, which can interrupt the test.
- Pressure and contact size only appear when the screen and browser report them. Many phones report contact size but not pressure, and a mouse reports neither.
- Entering or leaving full screen, rotating the device or resizing the window clears the painting, because the grid has to be rebuilt for the new size.

How It Works
The page reads pointer events inside the box and records which squares of an invisible grid you reach.
- 1Touch the boxPut one or more fingers on the box and drag. Your path is painted in a colour for each finger.
- 2Fill the gridEvery 40 pixel square you touch is filled in. Cover the whole box to look for squares that never light up.
- 3Count the fingersThe tool shows how many fingers are down now and the most seen at once, with coordinates, pressure and contact size where the screen reports them.
- 4Go full screenPress "Full screen" to test the entire display, and "Clear" to start over.
Touches are read in your browser tab only. Nothing is recorded, stored or uploaded.
