Your files never leave your device. All processing happens locally in your browser.

Tracing works best on logos, icons, line art and silhouettes. Photos turn into flat colour areas. Everything runs in your browser.

How It Works

Traces a PNG, JPG or WebP into vector paths and saves them as an SVG, using the open-source imagetracerjs tracer running in a background thread of your browser.

  1. 1
    Drop an image
PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP or GIF. Images larger than 1600 px on the longest side (1000 px on phones) are scaled down before tracing, and the tool says so; the SVG still opens at the original size.
  2. 2
    Pick a preset
Black & white turns every pixel darker than a threshold into one cuttable shape; Few colours groups the image into a handful of flat colours for logos; Detailed keeps 16 colours and small specks.
  3. 3
    Fine-tune
Change the number of colours or the threshold, how small a speck may be before it is dropped, and how smooth the curves are. Remove background turns the white page transparent.
  4. 4
    Compare and download
The original and the SVG sit side by side with the file size, path count and colours. Download the .svg or copy its code.

Your image is decoded and traced entirely in your browser and is never uploaded.
