The marla is not fixed. Marla, kanal and sarsai depend on the standard you pick above, so the number of marla per acre also changes (43,560 ÷ chosen marla — that is 160 at 272.25, 174.24 at 250, and 193.6 at 225 sq ft). Killa (acre), murabba, square foot, square yard and square metre are fixed and never change. Always confirm which marla a deal, deed or housing scheme uses before relying on a figure.

The kanal/acre relationship (8 kanal = 1 acre) holds exactly only at the standard 272.25 sq ft marla. Under a 250 or 225 sq ft marla, a kanal is smaller, so more kanal fit in an acre.

How It Works

1 marla is 272.25 sq ft by the official standard, but many housing schemes use 250 or 225 sq ft; 1 kanal is always 20 marla, and 1 killa (acre) is 43,560 sq ft. Pick the marla standard your area uses, enter an amount, and every Pakistani and standard unit updates at once.

  1. 1
    Choose your marla standard
Select 272.25 sq ft (the standard/British 'sarkari' marla on official records), 250 sq ft (a rounded marla), or 225 sq ft (common in many Lahore housing schemes). The tool shows the resulting marla-per-acre so you always know which figure you are getting.
  2. 2
Enter an amount and pick units
Type a value and choose from and to units - marla, kanal, killa (acre), murabba, sarsai, square foot, square yard (gaz) or square metre. Use the swap button to reverse the direction.
  3. 3
    Read the live result
The headline result updates instantly as you type. Marla, kanal and sarsai rescale automatically with your chosen standard, while killa, murabba and the metric units stay fixed.
  4. 4
    See all units at once
A grid converts your amount into every supported unit. Tap any tile to copy that value, or use Copy result / Copy share link to send a deep link that preserves your numbers and marla standard.

Every calculation runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is ever uploaded or sent to a server.
