How do I switch between 12 and 24 hour time?

In Clock mode, press "24 h" to turn it on or off. When it is off the clock shows 12-hour time with AM or PM. The first time you open the page it follows your device's usual format. "Seconds" and "Date" can be switched off for a simpler face.

How do I make it full screen?

Press "Full screen" and the clock fills the display; press Esc or "Exit full screen" to leave. Browsers that do not allow full screen, such as iPhone Safari, still get a page-sized clock that hides the rest of the site.

Will the screen stay on?

"Keep awake" is on by default and asks the browser for a screen wake lock while this tab is visible. It works in current Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox. If your browser or battery saver refuses, the clock still runs but the screen may dim. Switch it off to let the screen sleep normally.

How does the countdown work?

Open "Countdown", pick a time of day and press "Start". It counts down to the next time the clock reads that time, so a time that has already passed today means tomorrow, which is always less than 24 hours. At zero it shows "Time's up!" and plays three short beeps. Keep the tab open until it ends.

Which time does it show, and is anything saved?

It shows your device clock in your own time zone. Your choices for 24 h, Seconds, Date, Dark, Keep awake and the last countdown time are saved in this browser only. Nothing is uploaded or put in the page address.

How It Works

The clock reads your device time once a second and animates each changing digit as a split-flap card using CSS 3D transforms.

Read the time
The digits follow your device clock. Use "24 h", "Seconds" and "Date" to change what is shown, and "Dark" for the theme.

Go full screen
Press "Full screen" to fill the display. "Keep awake" asks the browser to keep the screen on while the tab is visible.

Count down
Open "Countdown", choose a time of day under "Count down to" and press "Start". The flip digits show the time left.

Finish
At zero the page shows "Time's up!" and plays three short beeps. Press "Stop" to cancel earlier.
