How do I draw, and does pen pressure work?

Pick a tool, a colour and a "Size", then drag on the canvas with a mouse, finger or stylus. With a pressure-sensitive pen the "Pen" line gets thinner when you press lightly and thicker when you press hard. A mouse or finger draws at a steady width. For two seconds after the pen touches the screen, finger touches are ignored so your palm does not leave marks.

What drawing tools are there?

"Pen", "Marker" (twice as wide as the pen), "Highlighter" (four times as wide and see-through), "Eraser", "Line", "Rectangle", "Ellipse", "Arrow" and "Text". Keys P, M, H, E, L, R, O, A and T pick them, and [ and ] change the size. Hold Shift while dragging a shape for a 45 degree line, a square or a circle, and tick "Fill rectangles and ellipses" for solid shapes.

How do I undo a mistake or start again?

"Undo" (Ctrl+Z) removes the last stroke or shape and "Redo" (Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z) puts it back. "Clear" asks you to confirm and then empties the canvas; "Undo" brings the drawing back if you cleared by mistake.

How do I save my drawing as a PNG?

"Download PNG" saves the drawing with the background you chose ("White", "Grid" or "Transparent"). "Download transparent PNG" saves only your strokes with no background, which is handy for logos and stickers. The file is made at twice the canvas size, for example 3200 x 2000 pixels on the wide canvas.

Is my drawing saved for next time?

The last drawing, with your tool, colour and size, is saved automatically in this browser a moment after each change (the status shows "Autosaved"). It is not uploaded and not put in the page address, so a private window, cleared site data or another device will not have it. Download a PNG to keep a copy. Changing "Canvas size" keeps your strokes, but anything outside the new canvas is hidden.

How It Works
