How do I remove an object from a photo?

Open the photo above, paint over the object with the brush (cover it completely, plus a little of its shadow), and press Remove. The area is filled in from the rest of the photo. Repeat for other objects, then save.

What does it work best on?

Objects on backgrounds that repeat or vary smoothly: people or bins on grass, sand, water, sky, walls, floors or roads, stray wires, text, spots and blemishes. It copies texture from the photo, so it cannot invent something that is not there, such as the hidden half of a face or a detailed building behind a person.

No model is downloaded. It uses the classical patch-matching method behind content-aware fill: every part of the gap is rebuilt from the most similar patches elsewhere in the photo, from a small size up to full size.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The photo is opened, edited and saved on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Does it reduce the quality of my photo?

Only the area you paint over changes; every other pixel is kept. JPG photos are saved as JPG at high quality and everything else as PNG, at the photo's own size (very large photos are edited at a smaller size on some phones, and the tool says so).

Are my files uploaded?
