How It Works

The page shows each page with pdf.js and lets you place a box on it. When you crop, pdf-lib sets the page boxes (MediaBox, CropBox and the others) to that area, taking the page's rotation into account, or embeds the area as a vector object on a new page of the size you picked. To trim margins it renders every page small and finds the rows and columns that contain ink.

  1. 1
    Open the PDF
Drop a PDF or press "Browse files". The first page appears with a box around its printed area.
  2. 2
    Set the crop
Drag the box or its corners, use a preset such as "Top half", or choose "Trim white margins" to crop every page to its own content.
  3. 3
    Choose the page size
Keep the cropped size, or fit the crop onto a 4×6 in label, A6, A4 or Letter page.
  4. 4
    Crop and download
Press "Crop and download PDF". The new PDF is saved to your device.

Your PDF is cropped in this browser and never uploaded.
