What sizes can I make?

Three: square 1,080 by 1,080 pixels, story 1,080 by 1,920, and landscape 1,200 by 630, which suits link previews. The PNG you download is exactly that size, the preview is just scaled down to fit your screen.

Does it work with Arabic, Hebrew and other right-to-left text?

Yes. The quote and the author line are each checked for their first strong letter and drawn right-to-left if it is Arabic or Hebrew script. "Start" then means the right edge and "End" the left edge for that text. Lines are wrapped in reading order.

Which fonts can I use?

Six fonts that come with most devices: Georgia, System sans, Palatino, Trebuchet MS, Courier New and Impact. They are drawn with the fonts installed on your device, so if one is missing your system substitutes a similar one and the picture can look different elsewhere.

How is the text sized?

The quote is made as large as fits inside the margins, which are 10 percent of the shorter side. The "Text size" slider shrinks it to between 40 and 100 percent of that. The quote can be up to 600 characters and the author up to 80.

Is my background image uploaded?

No. The photo is read and drawn in your browser and the PNG is made on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is kept after you close the page.

How It Works

The page draws the card on a canvas at its final size. It measures the quote with the chosen font, finds the largest size that fits inside the margins, wraps the lines, and centres the block with the author underneath.
