Free Mouse Test

Test your mouse buttons, scroll wheel and double-click speed, spot a chattering switch, and measure clicks per second in a 5-second test.

Click, double-click and scroll inside the box. Every button press is counted, double-click timing is measured, and a fast double-registered click is flagged.

Click here with any mouse button, double-click, or scroll the wheel.

Back and Forward are the side buttons found on some mice. They only count if the mouse and its driver pass them to the browser. The right-click menu is switched off inside the test box only.

Two presses of the same button within 500 ms count as a double-click, and the gap between them is measured.

How It Works

The page reads mouse events inside the test box and turns them into counts and timings.

  1. 1
    Press every button
Click inside the box with the left, middle and right buttons, and the side buttons if your mouse has them. Each button lights up while held and keeps its count.
  2. 2
    Check double-clicks
Double-click and read the measured gap between the two presses. If one click registers twice less than 80 ms apart, a chatter warning appears.
  3. 3
    Spin the wheel
Scroll up and down over the box to count wheel events in each direction without moving the page.
  4. 4
    Run the 5-second test
Press "Start 5-second test", then click as fast as you can. The first left click starts the timer, and the result is clicks per second.

Mouse events are read in your browser tab only. Nothing is recorded, stored or uploaded.
