How do I create a UPI payment QR code for my shop?

Enter your UPI ID in the form name@bank, add the Payee name, choose Open amount or Fixed amount, then use Download PNG. The QR updates as you type, and you can also download an SVG or a poster.

What is the difference between open amount and fixed amount?

Open amount leaves the amount out, so the payer types it after scanning. Fixed amount puts a specific amount in INR into the link, with up to 2 decimals, such as 199.50.

Why does it say my UPI ID is invalid?

The ID must look like handle@bank, with 2 to 256 letters, digits, dots, hyphens or underscores before the @ and 2 to 64 letters after it. A name with spaces or a missing @ is rejected.

Will this QR code take payments or work with Google Pay and PhonePe?

It builds a standard upi://pay link as a static, unsigned QR that UPI apps such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and BHIM can scan. It does not process payments, so test it with your own app first.

Is there a maximum amount I can put in the QR?

The tool warns above Rs 1 lakh (100,000), because typical UPI per-transaction limits are around that and most apps will reject larger amounts when scanned. The limit is set by banks and apps, not this tool.
