Free Printable Calendar Maker

Make a printable calendar for any year as a PDF or PNG: the whole year on one page or one month per page, in your language, with your own dates. Gregorian, Persian (Solar Hijri), Islamic (Umm al-Qura) or Thai Buddhist.

Layout

One per line. Month-day for every year (12-25), or year-month-day for one day (2027-03-14). Dates are Gregorian.

Public holidays are not included: add the ones you need under "Your dates".

How It Works

The page asks your browser's built-in calendars for every day of the year, groups the days into months, and lays each month out under the weekday your language starts the week with. Month names, weekday names and digits come from the browser in the language you choose, so the calendar reads naturally in Persian, Thai or Japanese as well as English.

  1. 1
    Choose the year and layout
The whole year on one page, one month per page, or both. Pick the month to start with for a school year.
  2. 2
    Pick the calendar and language
Gregorian, Persian, Islamic or Thai Buddhist, in any of the site's languages. Change the paper size, orientation and first day of the week if you like.
  3. 3
    Add your own dates
Birthdays, holidays or appointments, one per line. They are written in the month pages and circled on the year page.
  4. 4
    Download and print
Download the PDF with every page, or the page you are looking at as a PNG.

The calendar is drawn in this browser. Your dates are not uploaded or stored.

Guide

Worked example

Press "Both", type 2027 in "Year" and keep "Start with" on the first month. The heading above the preview reads "Preview, page 1 of 13" and the main button reads "Download PDF (13 pages)": one page with the whole year, then one page for each month. Under "Your dates" type 12-25 Christmas on one line and 2027-03-14 Mum's birthday on the next. The year page circles 25 December and 14 March, and the December and March pages write the words inside the day's box. Now change "Start with" to September: the pages run from September 2027 to August 2028, "Year" still says 2027, and the file is saved as calendar-2027.pdf. "PNG of this page" saves only the page you are looking at.

Which settings to use, and the limits

  • Choose the layout first. "Year on one page" makes a single page of twelve small months, in three columns by four rows on portrait paper and four by three on landscape; days that carry one of your dates are circled. "Month per page" makes twelve pages, each with a large grid and room to write, and the weekend columns are shaded. "Both" gives the year page and then the twelve months, 13 pages. The PDF button shows the page count, and "PNG of this page" saves only the page showing in the preview.
  • Start the year in any month. "Start with" lists the twelve months of the chosen calendar, so a school or financial year can begin in September or April. The pages carry on into the next year and the year-page heading then shows both years. "Year" takes 1 to 9999 in the chosen calendar, and a number outside that range is ignored. It starts as the year that will be current 60 days from today, so from early November it offers next year. Changing the calendar resets both "Year" and "Start with".
  • Add your own dates, one per line. Under "Your dates" write a date, a space and the text. A month and day such as 12-25 repeats every year, a full date such as 2027-03-14 applies to that day only, and 29 February is accepted for yearly dates. A dash always puts the month first. With a slash or a dot, as in 03/14, the order follows the "Language" setting, so with English the first number is the month. Dates are Gregorian even on another calendar. Long text wraps onto more lines, a word too long for the box is cut with an ellipsis, and lines that do not fit the day's box are dropped.
  • Switch calendar when you need another year count. "Calendar" offers "Gregorian", "Thai Buddhist (B.E.)", "Persian (Solar Hijri)" and "Islamic (Hijri, Umm al-Qura)". A Persian or Pashto page starts on the Persian calendar and a Thai page on the Buddhist one, whose year is the Gregorian year plus 543. For the three other calendars "Show Gregorian dates too" is ticked at the start: it prints the Gregorian day small in each box and the Gregorian months under each month name. Persian and Islamic month lengths come from the browser's built-in calendar data.
  • Set the first weekday and the weekend. "Week starts on" begins on "Usual for the language" with the day in brackets, Sunday for English, and you can pick Monday, Sunday or Saturday instead. Weekend days come from the browser's data for the language, such as Saturday and Sunday for English; they are shaded on month pages and printed in red. "Show week numbers" appears only for the Gregorian calendar and prints ISO week numbers beside the rows of the month pages. A row takes the week of its Thursday, so the row holding 1 January 2027 is labelled week 53.
  • Know what the file contains. "Paper" offers A4, US Letter, A5 and US Legal, and "Orientation" offers Portrait or Landscape; the English page starts on US Letter. "Language" sets the month and weekday names and the digits, and right-to-left languages mirror the layout. Each page is drawn as a picture at 150 dpi and placed on the paper, so the text in the PDF cannot be selected or searched. The drawing happens in your browser. "Title" takes up to 60 characters and is printed in the year-page heading, before the year, as in Family · 2027. On an iPhone or iPad the PDF is handed to the share sheet when the browser can share files.

Common problems and how to fix them

It says "These lines were not understood: 14/03 Pi day · 2027-02-30 Dentist".
Each line needs a real date, a space and some text. On English, 14/03 is read with the month first, so month 14 fails; write 03/14 or 03-14. 2027-02-30 is not a real date. A date with no text, such as 12-25, and a month name, as in Dec 25, are also refused. Only the first three bad lines are listed, so correct those and look again. Everything else on the page is still drawn.
It says "The file could not be made in this browser. Try the year on one page, or download a PNG."
Drawing a page at 150 dpi or building the PDF failed. The tool frees each page's canvas as soon as it is added to the PDF, because iOS caps total canvas memory, so a phone with many tabs open is the likeliest place to see this. Choose "Year on one page", press "PNG of this page" for one page at a time, pick A5 instead of US Legal, or close other tabs and try again.
It says "The calendar could not be drawn in this browser." and the preview stays blank.
The preview is drawn on a canvas, and the drawing threw an error or the browser would not give the page a canvas. The PDF and PNG buttons use the same drawing code, so they are likely to fail as well. Update the browser or try another one, then reload the page.
The Title I typed is missing on the month pages.
The title is printed only on the year page, in the heading before the year. Month pages carry the month name and the year as their heading, with no title. The title is also stored as the PDF's document title, which shows in a PDF viewer's title bar, not on the paper. Choose "Year on one page" or "Both" if you want the title on paper.
It says "Public holidays are not included: add the ones you need under "Your dates"."
The tool prints only the dates you type, and it knows no holidays or religious dates. Each date you add is Gregorian, even on a Persian, Buddhist or Islamic calendar, so look up the Gregorian date for that year and add a line such as 2027-01-01 Holiday. Islamic months come from the Umm al-Qura table in the browser and can differ by a day from a local moon-sighting announcement.

How it compares

A calendar app's print view or a word-processor template lets you move things around, add pictures and pick fonts. This tool does none of that: it draws one fixed design, a year grid or a month grid with space to write, and the PDF is made of pictures, so you cannot edit it afterwards. It cannot import events from your calendar or mark public holidays. What it adds is four calendar systems, the language's own first weekday and weekend, any start month, 13 pages in one file and your own dates, with nothing to install and nothing uploaded.
