Adding page numbers to a PDF is an Acrobat feature most free tools either lack or gate behind an upload. This stamps them on with pdf-lib, in your browser.

   You drop in a PDF

   The page count is read locally with pdf-lib — nothing is uploaded.

   You pick a format and position

   Choose "1", "Page 1", "1 / 12", and where it sits (corner or centre, top or bottom), plus the starting number and font size.

   Numbers are drawn on each page

   pdf-lib draws the text onto every page using an embedded standard font, positioned precisely for each page's size.

   You download the numbered PDF

   The result is offered for download, with the original content untouched beneath the new numbers.
