Drop in photos (JPG/PNG), PDFs, or Office files (DOCX/XLSX/PPTX). This tool strips hidden metadata — EXIF/GPS location, author and software names, edit history, and comments — without re-compressing your images, so the visible content is untouched. Everything happens in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Kif Taħdem

Files quietly carry hidden metadata: photos store GPS coordinates and your camera/phone model; PDFs and Office documents store author names, the software used, and edit history. Most "metadata remover" sites upload your files to do this — defeating the purpose. This one works entirely in your browser.

  1. 1
    You drop in files
Mix photos (JPG/PNG), PDFs, and Office documents (DOCX/XLSX/PPTX). They're read into your browser's memory — never uploaded.
  2. 2
    Metadata segments are parsed out
For images, the EXIF/XMP/IPTC segments and comment chunks are removed directly from the file structure — the image data is left byte-for-byte intact, so there is zero quality loss.
  3. 3
    Documents are stripped clean
PDFs have their title, author, producer, and XMP metadata cleared via pdf-lib. Office files (which are ZIP archives) have their core, app, and custom property files wiped via JSZip.
  4. 4
    You download the clean files
Grab each file, or the whole batch as a ZIP. A summary shows exactly what was removed from each one.

This is privacy tooling, so it would be self-defeating to upload your files. Everything runs locally — ideal for journalists protecting sources, anyone sharing photos publicly without revealing their home location, or professionals sending documents without leaking internal author and company names.
