Kif Taħdem

EXIF metadata is hidden information embedded in your photos by your camera or phone — including GPS coordinates, camera settings, and timestamps. This tool reads it locally and lets you strip it in one click.

  1. 1
    You drop a photo
The image is loaded into your browser's memory. The tiny exifr library (~30 KB) parses the EXIF segment inside the file — that's just the metadata header, not the pixels.
  2. 2
All metadata fields are decoded and shown
Camera make/model, lens, ISO, GPS coordinates, exposure settings, timestamps — every standard EXIF tag is decoded and labeled in plain English. Click the GPS coordinates to view on Google Maps.
  3. 3
    (Optional) Strip metadata for sharing
Click "Strip EXIF" and your browser re-encodes the image without metadata, preserving the original pixel data. The clean version downloads to your device.

The photo never uploads. Particularly important here: if your photo has GPS coordinates from your phone, you really don't want to send it to a third-party server just to inspect or strip them. Everything happens locally.
