Apply the Atbash Cipher
Reverse the alphabet with Atbash: A becomes Z, B becomes Y, and so on — an ancient Hebrew cipher.
Shifts each letter by 13. Self-inverse — applying it twice returns the original.
Atbash tips
Atbash maps each letter to its mirror image in the alphabet: A↔Z, B↔Y, C↔X, etc. It's completely self-inverse like ROT13.
Atbash was used in the Hebrew Bible. The word "Sheshach" in Jeremiah 25:26 is an Atbash encoding of "Babel" (Babylon) — likely used to avoid political scrutiny.
"HELLO" in Atbash = "SVOOL". The vowels and consonants mix, making it look genuinely different from the original.
Atbash puzzles appear in the Da Vinci Code and similar cryptographic fiction. If you see a message with no obvious pattern, try Atbash.
