Keep an Encrypted Journal Entry
Encrypt personal writing so only you can read it back.
Strong, standard encryption: AES-256-GCM with a key derived from your password via PBKDF2 (250,000 iterations, SHA-256). Each message uses a fresh random salt and IV.
The password is never stored or sent anywhere β everything runs in your browser. If you lose the password, the message cannot be recovered. Share the encrypted text and the password through separate channels.
journaling tips
Paste a private entry, encrypt it with a memorable password, and store the ciphertext anywhere.
Decrypt it later here by pasting the text and entering the same password.
Use a strong, memorable passphrase β long word combinations beat short complex ones.
Your writing stays on your device.
