Survey results: "X is what % of Y" converts raw response counts to percentages. 45 agree out of 150 = 30% agreement rate.
Market share: company A has 340 of 1200 customers = 28.3%. Use "X is what % of Y" with X=340, Y=1200.
Growth rates: percentage change from last year's figure to this year's gives year-over-year growth or decline.
Parts of a whole: calculate what percentage each category represents. Total responses = 500, category A = 145 = 29%. Repeat for each category.
