Create Gradients for Social Media Graphics

Social media images need high contrast and vivid colours to stand out in feeds. Use bolder, more saturated gradients than you'd use for web backgrounds.

Instagram's signature look uses complementary colour gradients (orange→pink, purple→blue). The "Sunset" and "Purple Rain" presets are great starting points.

Export your gradient background as a CSS snippet, then recreate it in Canva using its gradient fill tool, or use it directly in a web-based design tool.

For YouTube thumbnails, position key text in areas of consistent colour (not on gradient transitions) for maximum readability.
