Macros: if your target is 150g protein per day, use "X is what % of Y" with X=150 and Y=total calories / 4 to find protein's calorie percentage.
Workout progress: use "percentage change" to calculate strength improvements. Bench press 80 kg → 95 kg = +18.75% strength gain.
Calorie deficit: target 500 calorie deficit from a 2,000 calorie TDEE = 25% deficit. Use "X% of Y" to verify: 25% of 2000 = 500.
Goal completion: completed 18 of 30 planned workouts = "18 is what % of 30?" = 60% completion rate. Great for tracking consistency.
