Share a Secret Safely
Encrypt a password or note to send over chat or email.
Strong, standard encryption: AES-256-GCM with a key derived from your password via PBKDF2 (250,000 iterations, SHA-256). Each message uses a fresh random salt and IV.
The password is never stored or sent anywhere — everything runs in your browser. If you lose the password, the message cannot be recovered. Share the encrypted text and the password through separate channels.
secrets tips
Send the encrypted text and the password through different channels (e.g. email the text, text the password).
AES-256-GCM means even if the message is intercepted, it's unreadable without the password.
Agree on the password in advance or via a call — never in the same message as the ciphertext.
Both encryption and decryption run in your browser.
