Food Delivery Tip Calculator

Food delivery drivers earn most of their income from tips. A standard 15–20% tip on the subtotal (before delivery fee) is recommended.

For long-distance or bad-weather deliveries, consider tipping 20–25%. The driver's time and costs are higher.

Grocery delivery (Instacart, DoorDash): 15–20% is standard. For large orders with heavy items, err toward 20% to reflect the extra effort.

Some delivery apps show a "default" tip that may be low. Calculate the actual percentage here and manually override if the default is under 15%.
