Cleaning options

Line endings:

Trim each line

Remove leading and trailing spaces from every line

Collapse multiple spaces

Replace runs of spaces/tabs with a single space

Replace tabs with spaces

Convert all tab characters to a single space

Remove all empty lines

Delete lines that contain only whitespace

Collapse multiple blank lines

Reduce 3+ consecutive blank lines to just one

Remove leading blank lines

Strip blank lines at the start of the document

Remove trailing whitespace

Extra blank lines in email copy render inconsistently across clients. Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail all handle multiple paragraph breaks differently.

Enable "collapse multiple blank lines" to reduce any triple or quadruple spacing to a single paragraph break — consistent across all email clients.

Subject lines and preheader text must have no leading/trailing spaces. Email platforms sometimes count these against character limits.
